Excellent observation. In my view, there is a whole lot of blaming the victim going on, especially when institutions screw up and then EVERYBODY has to re-validate, monitor, encrypt, and basically fix the mess the institution has made for all of us. And as we often see, no one goes to jail; few people lose their jobs; many who should be accountable just get bigger bonuses. No point in being frustrated over what is, and has been, the way of the world since time immemorial. We’ll just keep typing blurry characters. Or just checking that box, though I never understood how it knew I was a person when I did that.
