More excellent, blunt truth. Thank you for your passion and candor. With other commenters, I find myself quietly saying, “but not everyone is like that…” however, I then realize that it doesn’t matter, because we have let the ones who ARE like that run the show.

The people still outnumber the plutocrats. We could overwhelm the system, theoretically at least. But the people will not rise until they are willing to risk their lives in protest. And that will only be when they understand they have already given their lives for cupcakes and toys. But it takes a moral function to know that, so I’m not holding my breath.

Still. Some of us are still trying. We cannot not try.
